How much does umblăm cost?
For explorers, nothing: the account, trip log, conquest map, ranks and meetups are free forever. The only paid plan is Partener Local, for local businesses publishing their experiences — as a launch offer, the first year is free, then 490 RON per year.
How do I colour my counties on the map?
Log a trip: tap “I was here” on a place page, or add the trip straight from your profile, past trips included. Every county with at least one logged visit gets coloured on your conquest map.
Do you verify my location with GPS?
No. The log runs on trust: you note where you've been, with no GPS and no proof. The community rules only ask for good faith — your map is about your journeys, not a contest.
Who can see my trips?
By default, anyone: trips are public and publish as soon as you log them. If you would rather not, change visibility (public, followers, private) and set a publish delay (24, 48 or 72 hours, so nobody learns where you are right now) in Settings, or per trip.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Trips logged offline are saved locally on your phone and sync automatically once you're back online. You can install umblăm as an app on your home screen.
How do I rank up, and what does it unlock?
Your rank grows automatically with logged trips and distinct counties: Boboc, Drumeț, Hoinar, Haiduc, Voievod. From Drumeț you can propose new places, from Hoinar you can host meetups, and from Haiduc you validate the community's proposals.
How do I propose a new place for the map?
From the Propose page, at rank Drumeț or above: pick a name and type, drop the pin on the map and describe the place. Members ranked Haiduc validate the proposal, and the place enters the catalogue credited to you.
How do I pay for an experience?
Directly with the host, on site or through their booking link. The umblăm team doesn't process payments and takes no commission — the experience page shows the price, schedule and who the host is.
How do I become a Local Partner?
Create a free account, then activate the subscription through Stripe with your account's e-mail address. As a launch offer, the first year is free — a card is required at activation, and the 490 RON per year payment only starts next year. From the Local Partner page you then publish your experiences, with the verified partner badge.
How do I cancel my Partener Local subscription?
Under Settings → Membership, open the secure Stripe portal and stop the renewal. Cancel during the free year and you pay nothing; after the first payment, the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period, and your experiences stay published until then.
